Not a bad score at all as if you round it off, it’s actually a perfect TEN already. From the looks of that rating, we can say the Audiobook is Good TO READ!

Disclaimer: I am a huge fan of Rosalind James and she is one of my favorite authors. I've read and enjoyed all of her books, although I will admit that this is one of my least favorite series that she's written. This review is biased due to the lead-in to this relationship from the previous book ("Shame the Devil"), which I strongly disliked. One of the reasons that I normally enjoy RJ's writing is the realistic stories and characters.So I did like this book, however, it failed in two respects:(1) Owen is too perfect and an old soul. He's been to college, a few years into a pro football career, been married and divorced, runs football training camps and owns a cattle ranch, essentially providing employment and housing for his parents and brother's family. Very responsible, and acts unbelievably honorably in his relationship with Dyma. His only flaw was in the past with his ex-wife. Boring and not all that realistic.(2) Dyma is supposed to be a mature-for-her-age young lady, but I don't buy it. She makes two major mistakes in this book alone that remind us that she's really a small-town teenager emerging into the real world for the first time. She's supposed to be smart and outspoken, but it comes across to me as naive and idealistic, typical of people her age. Therefore, the life-experience-age gap between the two main characters requires a huge leap of fictional license to make this work without a serious creepy feeling.Despite these shortcomings, this was overall a good read. There are plenty of sub-plots and secondary characters to keep things interesting. Friends, bullies, parents, WAGs. Blake and Dakota make the occasional appearance ("Silver-Tongued Devil"). Football, horses, babies. Definitely spot-on about how complicated and inconvenient real life can be.This is technically a stand-alone book, but there are so many references to people and events from "Shame the Devil" that I would recommend reading that book first. If you like that one, you'll love this one. Even still, I do recommend this book because I did enjoy the story.
